Este domingo quedó inaugurado El XIII Torneo Internacional de Beisbol Punta Cana 2023, que está dedicado de manera especial al ex-astro de las Grandes Ligas, el puertorriqueño receptor, Yadier Molina.
Several matches began in the morning with the participation of more than 1,200 athletes distributed in 60 teams.
The leading teams from the United States, Panama, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the host Dominican Republic.
Veteran sports leader Robinson Paredes, president of the organizing committee, highlighted the great enthusiasm among the countries participating in the tournament.
Paredes said that this championship will continue to serve for the development of baseball in the region, as well as help increase tourism in the area.
For his part, Robinson Paredes highlighted the hard work that is done each year to obtain positive results in an activity that helps children and adolescents to have fun through baseball and the enjoyment that this tournament brings them.

In addition to the aforementioned countries, players and representatives, the inauguration was attended by personalities from Punta Cana, Junior Noboa, national baseball commissioner, and Puerto Rican baseball star, Yadier Molina, who after playing a game between his team Guapos de Kulian and Banana Academy RD, was ready to take photos and sign autographs with those present.
Molina said he feels proud and happy to be in the Dominican Republic for this activity. He said he is happy to help children and teenagers continue to fulfill their dreams through baseball.
El Torneo de Beisbol Punta Cana 2023 tendrá su cláusura el viernes 28 de este mes.
